‘Above Ground Level’, a documentary about Dubfire’s life

The awaited film portrays the trajectory of Ali Shirazinia, better known as Dubfire, showing the past and present days of the artist with Iranian origins.

‘Above Ground Level’ was directed by Michael Koczynski and Mino Kodama of German collective Made by MKMK, and tells personal insights of Dubfire’s life, including the traumatic escape from his country at seven years old due to cultural differences, as well as family and friends testimonies.

The leader of the Sci + Tec label has commented that he wants to inspire through this documentary those who dream of a career within the music industry, and includes interviews with colleagues such as Carl Cox, Chris Liebing, Pete Tong, Seth Troxler, Richie Hawtin, who talk about their relationship with the artist.
