Philip from M.A.N.D.Y duo to take a sabbatical year

The German artist just announced the news on his Facebook profile.

The one half of M.A.N.D.Y revealed he’s is taking a 12-month period off the decks and DJ career. The other half, Patrick, will continue holding their name for shows and performances.

“As some of you might have heard already, I decided to stop my involvement in our beloved M.A.N.D.Y. band as of next year. For now, I am thinking about a 12 months break. Luckily Patrick is holding the torch and will continue the wonderful journey”, Philip commented. “After a great and busy year and after 15 years of nonstop traveling, it’s time for a some recreation and breaking the weekend pattern. I felt this need since quite some time, but in this business it’s all or nothing. And I love this!”

“This is not a retirement, it’s just taking a long deep breath and reevaluate everything. The business has changed a lot too. Change is good, always, but it’s important to see and feel where my place is in this changed game.

I will focus again more on the labels and be much more involved in the A&Ring again. We are launching two new labels and projects next year, so there are plenty of things to do and achieve. The love for the music is still there and I am looking forward to have much more time to listen to all kinds of genres again.”, he concluded.

You’ll be missed Philip…
