Review: NIBC – Up ’Til Dawn (Trunkfunk Records)

There is no denying that Trunkfunk is one of the key labels in the modern house game. Mano Le Tough, Man Power, Jonas Rathsman and many others have had big cuts on the outlet in the past, and now stepping up is an artist who lives in Berlin but hails from Gothenburg. He is a Swedish talent with a big following and fine discography and this latest is another one to slot into your DJ bag if you like proper house music.

There are no fads of trends in this cut, just well produced, clean and crisp house music that is bouncey and filled with love. Piano stabs and hand claps, bulbous and richly detailed bass prop it up and some clipped vocals add fuel to the fire. All in all it is a summery, al fresco groover that will add spice to any warm up set.
