The Secret Garden Party announces first artists and theme for its summer edition

Their 15th Edition will take place on July 20th-23rd, 2017.

The Secret Garden Party’s appeal has grown organically throughout its tenure. Inspired by the original ethos of Glastonbury and Burning Man their founders Head Gardener, aka Fred Fellowes has succeeded in placing his own particular and idiosyncratic stamp on this special event. With different awards under its belt since its inception, this achievement has been recognized by the live event industry and public alike.

Next years theme will be fame, celebrities and media. A party where every attendant will be VIP and everyone around will follow and adore you. A place where Sweet Dreams will be made of you.

In terms of artists a few ones have been announced yet including a couple of headliners like Metronomy and Toots & The Maytals.

Also organizers informed that they received the first public drug testing facility in the UK. Freddie Fellowes along with Steve Rolles from the Transform Drug Policy Foundation and Fiona Measham, Professor of Criminology at Durham University and director of The Loop ( a not-for-profit service for drug and alcohol harm reduction) were  presented recently with the Association of Independent Festivals’ ‘Act of Independence’ gong at the AIF awards ceremony for spearheading the first UK public drug-testing scheme at last summer’s Secret Garden Party  – a  service approved by Cambridge Police and local health authorities  – where people could have their drugs tested for safety on site.
