Barry Can’t Swim has released a new collaborative single, ‘I Could Be Madonna,’ featuring UK garage producer Sammy Virji. The track fuses Barry’s textured, emotive electronic production style with Virji’s distinctive club-focused rhythms.
The release follows a surprise back-to-back DJ set between the pair during Virji’s Alexandra Palace show in April, continuing a busy touring and release schedule for both artists.
Barry Can’t Swim rose to international prominence with his 2023 Mercury Prize-nominated debut album, ‘When Will We Land?,’ and has since headlined major gatherings like London’s All Points East. Earlier this year, the Edinburgh-born artist contributed to the 25th-anniversary edition of the Late Night Tales mix series and oversees the Earth’s Only Paradise imprint.
