Brian Eno is relaunching Opal Records, the label he founded in 1988, with new editions of ‘Another Day on Earth’ and ‘Drawn From Life’ scheduled for October 16th, 2026.

‘Another Day on Earth’, originally released in 2005, returns after being unavailable outside Japan for close to two decades. The new edition includes the previously Japan-only bonus track ‘The Demon of the Mines’.

‘Drawn From Life’, Eno’s 2001 collaboration with J. Peter Schwalm, will carry their joint billing for the first time and includes ‘Bloom (Instrumental)’ as a bonus track. Both albums will be available across all formats, including exclusive translucent colored vinyl editions.

The relaunch is also marked by two previously unreleased live videos: ‘Caught Between’, filmed in Porto in 2001, and ‘Persis’, recorded at Fuji Rock Festival the same year.

Opal originally operated between 1988 and 1991, releasing work from artists including Roger Eno, Harold Budd, Laraaji, Jon Hassell, Daniel Lanois, and John Cale. One percent of proceeds from Opal record sales will be donated to Earth Percent.
