Bridges for Music Announces Charity Virtual Cycling Event

The annual meeting between Bridges for Music, Beatport, and Pioneer DJ will be online this time.

On Wednesday, October 21st, the yearly Bridges for Music charity event will bring together some of the best DJs, music executives, promoters, and other figures in the industry in a virtual relay race, who will use the Tacx Neo Smart Trainers with the latest Garmin computers, the Garmin Edge 1030 Plus.

These will be installed in some of the most iconic music venues in the world, including Watergate (Berlin), Ministry of Sound (London), ADE headquarters in Felix Meritis (Amsterdam), and the Bridges Academy in Langa (Cape Town).

The event will feature an 8-hour fundraiser that will be streamed live through Beatport’s Twitch account, as well as on the store’s home page, and will include real-time tracking of riders and special performances by some of the most recognized DJs in the world. Some of the already confirmed international teams and riders include Armada, Defected, Awakenings, Richie Hawtin, Pan-Pot, Gigee, Rebekah, Floyd Lavine, Juliet Fox, Goldfish, and Pete Tong.

Dance music fans who want to travel with their DJs from their own home can follow him through their Zwift account and a smart turbo trainer, or through www.cycleformusic.com, or through the Zwift app. New riders and teams at the official locations were open until October 12th. Zwift users can join the event virtually until the start time.

All proceeds go to support students and artists in neglected communities in South Africa through Bridges for Music.
