Burning Man plans to expand its people capacity in 2019

Currently the Nevada festival hosts around 65.000 to 70.000 attendees per year.

Burning Man organizers are looking forward to expanding the number of visitors to 100.000 in 2019. Also, they are in the process of renewing its permission to continue celebrating the event in the mythical Black Rock Desert. To achieve this, they must obtain the approval of an environmental impact analysis that respects the NEPA (National Environment Policy Act).

During last week the Burning Man crew and authorities met with the locals of the surrounding communities to openly discuss the different proposals. It is planned to have a rough draft including Burning Man’s new conditions by December 2018, and hoping to have a final agreement by February 2019.
