Cosmic Boys have fast been asserting their dominance of the techno scene since early 2020 when their collaboration track with UMEK charted No.1 in many download stores.
Based in France, the duo has been steadily building a local following and performing regularly at many of the top French events, so it was only a matter of time before they broke onto the worldwide scene.
In addition to the boys own music, their label Legend has also been picking up momentum and its releases can often be spotted in sales charts for the techno genre.
Legend features music from a variety of artists, but it’s most recent EP titled ‘Digital Love’ features two original tracks from the Cosmic Boys themselves, and we are told it’s been popular with the likes of Joseph Capriati, Pappenheimer and Ramon Tapia.
Both the tracks on the EP are fiery cuts with dramatic tension and epic progressions. Filled with unexpected twists and turns, it’s a release that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Opening with the title track, ‘Digital Love’ is all about the frantic tension of the complimenting lead synths that play a call and response game, with each adding more ferocity to the unfolding madness that ensures the track’s energy stays at boiling point. Only relenting for the hands in the air euphoria of the breakdown this is one hell of a techno rollercoaster!
‘Timeless’ is next on the EP, and it is on a similar vibe to its predecessor, but instead opts for what can only be described as a “bass saw” bassline that propels the tracks from the ground up. A tiny bit more melodic with a bigger emphasis on the uplifting tones of the lead synth, is a vocal stating “how to release the pressure” that’s the perfect summary of such an intensely brilliant track.
In your face, and taking no prisoners, this peak time release will leave the dance floor gobsmacked and screaming for more, as its unrelenting release of power defies belief!
