Dauwd prepares first LP ‘Theory of Colours’ (Audio)

To be out on June 2nd.

US-born, Wales-raised artist Dauwd has confirmed he’ll release his debut album via Ninja Tune imprint Technicolour.

The seven-track LP is entitled ‘Theory Of Colours’, and is inspired by electronic music legends like Terry Riley or Raymond Scott, as seminal Radiophonic Workshop era on late 50’s and 60’s. He “draws a unique line between influences as disparate as hazy Detroit house and early German Krautrock.”

The album was recorded at Utrecht’s Sonar Traffic Studio, with one of the largest collections of vintage synths and other modular equipment in all of Europe

Dauwd’s LP will be out on June 2nd on Technicolour.
