Donato Dozzy has announced his upcoming double LP, ‘Astro,’ scheduled for release on November 20th, 2026, via Tresor Records. Alongside the announcement, the Italian electronic music producer has shared the title track as the lead single across streaming platforms and Bandcamp.
The album draws structural and thematic inspiration from the Japanese children’s cartoons and anime theme songs that influenced Dozzy during his childhood in Italy. The title track incorporates a direct sample from the 1970s theme song ‘Astro Robot Contatto Ypsylon,’ marking the first time the producer has sampled a vocal track for his own work.
Across the release, Dozzy utilizes hardware synthesizers such as the EMS Synthi AKS to build deep, hypnotic compositions. The project connects his long-standing passions for vinyl records and vintage Japanese robotic figurines.
