Dutch government bans events until June 1st, 2020

The measure was taken to avoid the extension of the Covid-19 virus in the country.

Today the Dutch government has announced the extension of the Netherlands event ban deadline until June 1st, 2020.

This announcement means that all the events that were going to be held during Easter in the capital city are canceled, such as Awakenings and DGTL Amsterdam festival, in addition to others that were scheduled to take place throughout the month of May, including Music On and Kabinet Lens, among many others.

Awakenings, which had four events scheduled at the Gashouder in Amsterdam, has become the first brand to announce its cancellation. You can read their full statement here.
