EG.579 Powel

Berlin based Deep House DJ and producer POWEL is the author of stellar remixes and productions of incredible musicality. His signature rhythms, percussion work and captivating atmospheres have that amazing ability to take you into the depth of aural pleasure.

Growing up in the outskirts of Berlin, POWEL’s musical journey began in his early days as he played in several bands since he was 14 years old. Today, while keeping up with his other projects, his main focus lies on his DJing and producing efforts.

Starting out with “Perelin, der Nachtwald”, released on a split EP compiled by Berlin based label Keller , his first EP “Shake The Birds Of The Tree” followed shortly after on Wunderbar Recordings early in 2013.

With his follow up master piece, the “Cloud City EP”, POWEL joined the roster of UK based Fina Records, well and truly putting him on the map, and slotting in alongside MOVE D, COTTAM and LEIF.

POWEL’s deep and warm sound finds admirers all over the globe, so it didn’t take long till masters such as LUIS JUNIOR and legend LEFTFIELD requested remixes which gained him quite the attention. With four successful US tours, gigs at major festivals such as Sonar Barcelona and F u sio n and international releases, POWEL went on builing a profile globally.

For a little over a year now, POWEL has been closely working together with renowned DJs and producers MATTHEW DEKAY and LEE BURRIDGE and joined the roster of their well-established US-label All Day I Dream. His latest EP “Crash Landing On Laputa” was released last July and as a part of the ADID community, lots of amazing projects are bound to happen in 2016.
