EG Records Series | Anton Mur

Born in Lithuania and now based in Kharkiv, Ukraine, Anton Mur has spent more than two decades following house music from both sides of the booth.

His connection with electronic music began in the early 2000s, when he became drawn to progressive and forward thinking house. That interest soon brought him closer to Lithuania’s underground club community, while years of travel exposed him to scenes and dance floors far beyond his home country.

Along the way, DJs including John Digweed, Sasha, Danny Howells, Nick Warren, Ricky Ryan, and Deep Dish helped shape his musical outlook. Those influences eventually led Mur behind the decks, where he began playing publicly in 2012.

Digging remains central to his approach. Rather than relying on familiar selections, Mur spends much of his time searching for lesser heard records, edits, and new music that can give each set its own identity.

For his EGR Series appearance, that approach comes through across thirteen tracks, moving through deep and progressive house with several edits and reinterpretations woven into the session. Circulation opens the mix with “Space Medley,” followed by music from Joaquin Salmain & Under Son, Gorkiz & Matt Oliver, Breeder, Hypno, Satoshi Tomiie featuring Kelli Ali, Sound Fusion, and others.
