London’s legendary nightclub Fabric will be closing their doors during this weekend following drug related deaths of two 18-years old.
On June 25th London’s Emergency call services received a late night hours notification about two young males that collapsed at the venue. They both died at the hospital. Autopsies are underway while no official cause of death has been announced by the authorities.
The Club published a statement about the recent deaths:
“For the past two years fabric has operated without incident but tragically in the past nine weeks two 18-year-old boys have died as a consequence of drug overdoses. In order to understand how this has happened we have agreed with the police and other agencies to suspend our operation whilst we investigate. The club will therefore be closed this weekend.”
“We will make a further statement next week but in the meantime for anyone who has purchased a ticket for the club this weekend, we have instructed Resident Advisor to refund all ticket purchases.”
This incident adds more tension to the current club situation after winning an appellation to the Islington council last year.
