Harold Heath drops biographical book ‘Long Relationships’ on VelocityPress

It’s the first book to detail exactly what DJing is like for the 99% of DJs who never make it big.

DJ and producer Harold Heath has unveiled his new book, this time titled ‘Long Relationships: My Incredible Journey From Unknown DJ to Small-time DJ’. The book, which takes a closer look at success from the optics of the ones that didn’t really ‘make it’, is out now via VelocityPress, a London book publisher specializing in electronic music and club culture.

According to its press release, ‘Written by former DJ/producer Harold Heath, ‘Long Relationships: My Incredible Journey From Unknown DJ to Small-time DJ’ is a biographical account of a DJ career defined by a deep love of music and a shallow amount of success. It’s the first book to detail exactly what DJing is like for the 99% of DJs who never make it big. Covering electro, hip hop, rare groove, acid house, rave, and the UK underground club scene, it’s a 30-odd year tale of a life lived in dance music. ‘Long Relationships’ is full of tales of clubs, raves, warehouses, DJing, music, record production, record deals, low-level international travel, shady promoters, dodgy club security, magical dance floor moments, and much more.’
