John Digweed goes deep in Cordoba

Buenas Noches Producciones recently celebrated 20 years since its foundation. It has already been two decades since the Argentinean company has been dedicated not only to electronic events but also artistic interventions ranging from presentations of musicians, art galleries and even trapeze artists; all this accompanied by cutting-edge production integrating light shows and visuals with different structures and mappings.

For their anniversary, the production team proposed a continuous celebration with three special dates in less than 20 days. The first was in charge of the renowned German DJ and head of the Cocoon collective, Sven Väth who was accompanied by Maurizio Schmitz and local artist Pedro D’alessandro. A few days later was Dubfire, Amelie Lens and Mariano DC showcasing an evening of the latest techno trends. And to close the festivities they invited Bedrock boss, John Digweed, with an extended set supported by local DJ, Facu Carri.

Immersed in a cool and humid night, we geared up to attend to Digweed’s musical journey, enclosed in an atmosphere that was a mixture of electrifying anxiety and high expectations. Minutes before Facu Carri finished a solid and precise warm up, Digweed appeared on stage with the British punctuality they are recognized for.

Little by little the music started to grow and mutate into endless peaks of energy. As expected by the progressive legend, Digweed went straight to the point, showing a repertoire of intense tracks perfectly mixed.

Part of the set included tracks like ‘Phu Quok’ by Red Axes feat. Minh Duong and ‘Motorik’ by Lopezhouse. Almost to end, the Bedrock boss brought to life classics like ‘Stoppage Time’ by Guy Gerber and the new version of ‘Strings of Life’ by Derrick May, remixed by Nick Muir.

John Digweed is at a stage in his career where he chooses where and when to play. Fortunately, among those places, he chose to visit the city of Cordoba honoring the 20 years of one of the biggest promoters in the country, Buenas Noches Producciones.
