Mack Loenz has presented his debut album, ‘From The Heart’, through Maceo Plex’s Lone Romantic.
The Barcelona-based project is the latest alias from Larry McCormick, also known as Exzakt. Under Mack Loenz, his sound combines electro foundations with melodic vocals, analogue synthesis, bass-driven production, and references to 1980s electronic music.
Across ten tracks, ‘From The Heart’ moves between club-focused and more reflective material. ‘Follow Me’ opens with arpeggios and driving bass, while ‘Switching My Flow’ moves into heavier territory with hoover synths and subs. ‘It’s Complicated’ introduces a more melancholic direction, and ‘Trust Issues’ builds around sweeping leads and processed vocals.
The album closes with ‘Back To The Stars’ after moving through the darker tension of ‘Waiting Game’.
