Ministry of Sound announces fundraiser for Steve Laviniere

Involving friends David Morales, Norman Jay MBE, Barbara Tucker, and more.

Ministry of Sound has announced its plans for a fundraiser for the benefit of Steve Laviniere, one half of soulful house pioneers Bobby & Steve. After the artist contracted COVID-19 in March 2020, the virus spread to his nervous system, causing a rare brain injury called ‘Acute Hemorrhagic Leukoencephalitis’ (AHLE/Hurst Disease). Unfortunately, this diagnosis has caused a ‘Prolonged Disorder of Consciousness’, leaving him unable to communicate or move his body.

‘Dance For Stevie’ will go ahead on October 3rd, at Ministry Of Sound, and will feature friends David Morales, Norman Jay MBE, Barbara Tucker, Trevor Nelson, Dave Lee, Michael Gray, and many other heavyweights.

All money raised will go towards helping Steve return home and receive around-the-clock care to give him the best quality of life possible.

A GoFundMe page has been set up in Steve’s name by his brother Bobby Laviniere, which you can find here.

Tickets for Ministry of Sound’s ‘Dance For Stevie’ are already available here.
