Modeselektor announce new album ‘MDSLKTR,’ share lead single ‘Aorta’

The twelve-track LP arrives January 22 via Monkeytown Records.

Berlin electronic music duo Modeselektor have announced their forthcoming studio album, ‘MDSLKTR,’ sharing the lead single ‘Aorta‘ via Monkeytown Records.

The upcoming twelve-track LP was developed in their Berlin studio alongside co-producer Johannes Wagner, known as J.Manuel. The project features contributions from Kabeaushé, Siriusmo, Miss Platnum, Tommy Cash, Lars Eidinger, and Gudrun Gut.

Lead single ‘Aorta’ serves as the foundational entry point for the album. The record relies on a stripped-back production approach focused on reduction, utilizing hardware setups centered around a Yamaha DX7 synthesizer rather than software or modular systems.

Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary formed Modeselektor out of Berlin’s post-Wall club culture, building a catalog that merges techno, electro, hip-hop, and experimental electronics across releases on their own Monkeytown imprint and BPitch Control.

‘MDSLKTR’ arrives on January 22nd, 2027. Stream ‘Aorca’ here.
