Mondo Love & Betrayal, the newly formed project uniting Bent member Neil ‘Nail’ Tolliday and producer-guitarist Henry Claude Scott, have released their self-titled debut album via NuNorthern Soul. The 10-track collection is available now on vinyl and digital formats, supported by an exclusive limited-edition pressing via Rough Trade.
The album draws heavy sonic inspiration from 1980s synth-pop, channeling the melodic sensibilities of New Order, Pet Shop Boys, and Depeche Mode. Built over an 18-month collaborative process, the project pairs Tolliday’s established electronic production background with Scott’s emotive falsetto vocals and songwriting.
Tolliday is widely recognized for his work in UK downtempo and house music as one half of Bent, while Scott previously rose to prominence through his Torn Sail and Brown Fang projects.
