Monolink releases ‘Harlem River / Falling’ EP

A glimpse into his second album.

German singer-songwriter, electronic music producer, and multi-instrumentalist Steffen Linck, better known as Monolink, has released two tracks from his upcoming album in ‘Harlem River / Falling’.

The material, which was released only a few weeks prior to the worldwide release of his second studio album ‘Under Darkening Skies’, is a two-part package in which the Berlin-based artist once again demonstrates his ability to create deep, smart, and emotive electronic music.

The double-sided record opens with ‘Harlem River’, a track in which Monolink shares his version of Kevin Morby’s iconic 2013 single of the same name. ‘It’s a tribute to Kevin Morby’s beautiful original. One day I was out in nature, listening to it on my headphones, and realized that it would translate perfectly into the soundscapes I like to work with. That’s how the idea was born,’ says the artist.

For the second act, Steffen closes with ‘Falling’, a track in which the artist explores ‘a rich tapestry of timbres and contrasting tones over a spacious four-minute duration’, as indicated in the press release.

Monolink’s ‘Harlem River / Falling’ is out now and can be purchased here. The LP ‘Under Darkening Skies’ will be released on Friday, June 11th, via Embassy One / Ultra Records (N&S America) / Sweat It Out (AU & NZ).
