New York introduces vaccination requirement for clubs & venues

At least one dose of the vaccine will be required.

According to the New York Times, partygoers will need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination to gain entry to nightclubs and venues. Mayor de Blasio presented the new regulation on August 3rd. The new ‘Key to NYC Pass’ rules will apply from August 16th, and are set to be enforced from September 13th.

This makes NY the first US city to change its policy, meaning that the NYC COVID Safe app, an Excelsior pass, or a vaccine card from the CDC will have to be shown in order to gain entry to several public spaces.

‘If you want to participate in our society fully, you’ve got to get vaccinated. The only way to patronize these establishments is if you are vaccinated, at least one dose,’ said de Blasio regarding the current situation.
