Manchester’s Sankeys club has closed

The building was acquired to be converted into apartments

Manchester club Sankeys has announced its closure. They informed the news on a Facebook post and a official statement is expected today.

The Beehive Mill building where the club was located has been sold to property developers to be turned into apartments.

Sankeys Manchester opened in 1994, now with other international locations in Ibiza and Tokyo. Also a new London venue Sankeys East is set to open at the end of January.

This weekend’s events at the Ancoats location has been relocated.
