Paul Woolford shares remix of Claptone’s ‘Wake Up’

Following remixes by Riva Starr and Tom & Collins.

The masquerade continues as Claptone unveiled a new take on ‘Wake Up’, his collaboration with James Vincent McMorrow, by house maestro Paul Woolford. This new remix follows up on the versions already shared by Riva Starr and Tom & Collins. ‘Wake Up’ is taken from Claptone’s third studio album ‘Closer’, which is set for release on November 12th, via Different Recordings / PIAS.

Paul Woolford’s new remix of Claptone’s ‘Wake Up’ builds upon the already uplifting original, with the British artist adding his signature and much-loved piano-house production style throughout.

‘Closer’ is about the joy and sometimes the pain of being human. It’s an ode to togetherness as well as empowerment, to heartache as well as bliss. I celebrate emotions. I allow myself to get closer to human beings and be human on the quest for my soul. ‘Charmer’ was merely an introduction from a mystic being coming out of the shadows. On ‘Fantast’, I tried to find my roots in nature, and it was more of an escapist album, whereas ‘Closer’ embraces people and the universe inside them,’ says the mysterious Claptone about his upcoming album.
