Rakastella 2018

Miami’s Art Basel week brought us an incredible display of art and music.

One of the most expected events was Life & Death and Innervisions’ Rakastella, held outdoors at the beautiful Virginia Key. Produced with some great attention to detail, the festival crafted a lineup that delivered some of the best music we heard during the week.

Heads of Innervisions, Dixon and Âme played a sublime set that finished in the sunrise hours, dazzling the crowd and creating the magic moments everyone was expecting. Our favorite set of the evening was Job Jobse, who traveled through a scheme of styles while exploding with some old school flavors and essences.

Other solid sets to mention where Apparat, who created a journey layered with eclectic sounds and textures, DJ Harvey, who brought his classic house style to the beach front venue, and, finally, Panorama Bar, Gerd Janson, who broke the mold with a deep tech base set layered with minimal sounds and groovy samples.

Rakastella has proven to be one of Miami’s signature Art Basel micro festivals, one that is a must when visiting the sunny city during this amazing week.
