HG and Micah Baxter make their Lost Culture Records debut with ‘Pound 4 Pound’ on 18th September 2026, bringing together two rising UK producers for their first collaboration. Built around a rolling bassline, tight percussion and a catchy vocal hook, the track arrives with early support from Marco Carola, SOSA, Joseph Capriati, Paco Osuna, Solardo and Lee Foss.
‘Pound 4 Pound’ is a stripped-back, driving house cut that puts the groove first. A weighty low end runs beneath crisp percussion and the recurring vocal, with the arrangement kept lean as the track builds and releases tension around its central bassline. It draws naturally from the club-focused sound both producers have been developing individually, while finding common ground between Baxter’s minimal/deep tech leanings and HG’s take on contemporary house.
Peterborough producer Micah Baxter has built a catalogue that already includes releases on Nervous Records, Repopulate Mars, Short Circuit, Criterio, Dosmundo and Deeperfect. He is also the founder of Gritty Records, an imprint centred around the deeper, groove-led end of contemporary house music. His productions have been supported by Jamie Jones, Michael Bibi, PAWSA, The Martinez Brothers, Marco Carola, Seth Troxler and Joseph Capriati.
Baxter’s next run of shows takes him across Italy, Malta and the UK, while another significant studio project is also on the way. He has joined Lee Foss and Chicago house pioneer Marshall Jefferson to revisit Jefferson’s ‘Move Your Body’ as the record celebrates its 40th anniversary.
At 19, Manchester producer HG is at an earlier point in his career, but his music is already reaching established dancefloors. Having started out learning to DJ and produce in his bedroom, he has since released on Dionysus, Blanc and Gritty, with his productions played at Amnesia Ibiza and Shelter Amsterdam and supported by East End Dubs, Max Dean, EVIE, Luuk van Dijk, ALISHA, Kitty Amor and Sidney Charles.
HG’s productions pair elements drawn from 90s house with a modern tech house framework, an approach that crosses naturally with Baxter’s own emphasis on stripped-back grooves and low-end movement. ‘Pound 4 Pound’ is the first time the pair have brought those ideas together in the studio.
Ahead of its release, the collaboration has already been supported by Marco Carola, SOSA, Kitty Hall, Omar+, Paco Osuna, Joseph Capriati, Solardo, Lee Foss, TeeDee and Ale De Tuglie, giving the track an early run across the house circuit before it lands on Lost Culture Records.
Joining a Lost Culture catalogue spanning minimal/deep tech, tech house and house, ‘Pound 4 Pound’ introduces HG and Micah Baxter to the label with a collaboration that sits comfortably between their respective sounds.
