Electronic music titans Hollaphonic return with another euphoric anthem in their latest single ‘Shadows In The Sun’, their first release on Another Rhythm. As we all long for one of those hands in the air moments in a club, Hollaphonic brings us the perfect soundtrack for when that moment finally comes. Using one of the most iconic samples in music history – originally heard in the James Brown-produced, Lyn Collins single ‘Think (About It)’ – the track is a nod to old school house classics of the 80s, brought into the modern age with the duo’s signature twist.
Of new single ‘Shadows In The Sun’, the duo says:
“We wanted to find a bright groove with a hooky piano reminiscent of our days growing up in the 90s/00s scenes. It’s a strange time, but finding the clean air the Shadows In The Sun allow you to think again.
“The lyrics ‘Put your trust in each other, the sound of your sun’ for us is about the clubs, surrounded by people, feeling one energy. That is this track; it’s about getting together and finding the cool spots in our clubbing future.”
The Dubai-based, British-born duo has received widespread global success throughout their career so far, but their 2020 breakthrough track ‘Save Me’ really cemented them as a force to be reckoned with. The duo is set to reach even greater heights in 2021 following the success of the recent single ‘Better Days’, which received huge support from BBC Radio 1. Hollaphonic has, quite literally, taken to the skies too, with their single ‘Spaceship’ selected by NASA for their ‘playlist on the moon’ and their music featuring in-flight on Emirates Airlines.
Release date: April 30th, 2021.
