One of the most exciting talents to emerge onto the European techno circuit in the past decade, Indira Paganotto has got the credentials to rival the very best in the business. With hard-hitting releases on the likes of Octopus Records, Copycow, refused. and Frequenza, as well as heavy international support from the likes of Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens, Ben Klock and Nina Kraviz (to name just a few), the über-talented Spanish techno maven now embarks on the next phase of her already star-studded career, as she announces the launch of her brand new label, Phase Insane Records.
Conceived as a platform to champion some of the brightest up-and-coming artists in the industry – as well as being a home for her own prolific stream of output – Phase Insane gets underway with the mammoth ‘Wolf Land’ EP, as Indira teams up with fellow Madrileño, Unkle Fon, for the pair’s debut collaboration.
Igniting the EP with the driving, peak-time opener Dogville, Indira and Unkle Fon’s exquisite production credentials shine through for all to hear, as pounding kicks and industrial samples combine with techy leads and intricate percussion to masterful effect. Switching things up for the second A-side with the huge cut, Wolfville, Paganotto and Fon combine broken beats with highly experimental sounds and hypnotic atmospheres, to produce a uniquely underground techno treatment. On the flip, Indira calls upon techno stalwarts Flug and Ricardo Garduno to deliver a brace of hard-hitting remixes, as they conclude a remarkable first release on Phase Insane.
Speaking about the launch of Phase Insane, Indira commented:
“Phase Insane Records is the union of forces of two friends with a common illusion. It is a label focused on techno, in which all of the output will be released on vinyl, as well as digitally. The romanticism of having a physical EP is so important for me, and the covers will all be miniatures of real paintings by the Madrid artist David Morago. It is a passion project in which each and every release is the product of a very personal vision, out of all normal markets and clichés”.
Indira Paganotto & Unkle Fon – Wolf Land EP (including remixes from Flug and Ricardo Garduno) will be released via Phase Insane Records.
Digital release date: later this month.
