By day, the East London producer FNP spends his time managing & promoting artists in the mainstream space. But his main passion has always been electronic music. A career in music has given FNP the knowledge & experience of how the industry works, resulting in a more savvy approach to releasing music.
Originally from just outside Luton, FNP began his musical journey making drum and bass. While at university in Nottingham, his work started to get him attention in all the right places. This led to sets supporting world renowned acts such as Enei, S.P.Y, Netsky, Newham Generals & loads more... All this work & network of people eventually led to him being lined up for a music industry job a few years down the line. At the same time, his record label Slinkiemusic has picked up some notable fans including Teki Latex, Avalon Emerson, Ross From Friends, Loxy & Resound & Palace.
Now focusing on his own projects, the London producers music has gained support from Thump Magazine, Clash, Datatransmission and Complex with many more following suit. His remixes with artists across the world have also received overwhelming support from Spotify, bringing his streams to over 300k in the past year. The London production enigma, has never been one to shy away from experimenting with different genres. His last release ‘Too Late’, was a soulful piece of disco-house fusion with a feel-good mantra. The new single, is about as far away from that as you can get. It’s a twisted, dark and experimental piece of techno that pushes the limits of the acid bassline. Influenced by the acid techno genres of the 90’s, on the new track FNP States:
“I Adore working with acid basslines… Anybody who makes 4×4 music will be testament to how much fun you can have with them and there’s nothing like being at a rave when a right naughty acid b-line comes in. I wanted to experiment with that and make something with a darker edge”.
