Canadian DJ & producer Simon Doty has just unveiled his latest project as he presents his own RECESS imprint. ‘Reality Check’, the first release, is already available to stream and purchase across all major digital platforms.
Simon Doty’s new ‘Reality Check’ draws inspiration from the Soul II Soul classic, and features his own sister, Ellen Doty, on vocals. The package is rounded off by two remixes, courtesy of Dosem and Black Circle.
‘For me, the natural evolution following DJ and producer is helping other artists through A&R and mentoring while developing your own brand. RECESS is not an outlet for my own music; it’s a platform for our crew to discover, develop and share records from artists we believe in.’ explains Doty.
