Sisko Electrofanatik makes a return to his label Gain Records with a new release called ‘Only One’. Featuring a solo original from Sisko, the two-track release also includes a collaborative remix version by Luca Morris & Mozzy Rekorder.
All of the artists are from Italy, and both versions of the track are driving techno with a style perfect for a dance floor.
‘Only One’ utilizes a pulsating arpeggio and sensual vocal phrases, alongside a medley of synth stabs that add to the track’s forward momentum. The eerie pads add to the dark atmosphere overall and it incorporates a spacious sound design where each of the parts has its own space to breathe.
Morris & Mozzy Rekorder stay true to the energy of the original but replace the vocal sample with their own textured effects that increase the atmospheric tension. Bringing focus to the percussion, their explosive version has a refined style that is all darker and altogether more ruthless.
It would be tough to try and pick a favorite from the release, as each of the two versions has its own charm. The remix could perhaps appeal to more people due to it having a more neutral style, but the people who like the original will love it.
People who are apparently supporting this release include the likes of Joyhauser and Space 92, which gives you a good idea of what to expect, as it does fit nicely with what most would expect from their styles.
