‘What We Started’, a new documentary produced by Pete Tong

With appearances of Moby, Carl Cox, Erick Morillo, David Guetta and more. 

‘What We Started’ is a new documentary that centers around the effect that dance music has had on a global scale since hitting the mainstream. Produced by Bert Marcus, Cassandra Hamar, and Cyrus Saidi, the footage also counts with Pete Tong as Executive Producer.

The documentary features a group of renowned DJs like Moby, Carl Cox, Erick Morillo, David Guetta, Afrojack, Martin Garrix, Paul Oakenfold, Seth Troxler, and Tiësto. Also, there are multiple cameos from musical superstars, including Usher and Ed Sheeran, who help exemplify the power and reach that electronic dance music has over mainstream music genres.

It will be premiered at the Regal Cinemas South Beach 18 on Lincoln Road in Miami, Florida on March 22nd during Ultra Music Fest week. Following the film’s South Beach premiere, there will be theatrical events around the country, with additional premieres in New York City on Friday 3/23 and in Los Angeles on March 29th at American Cinematheque’s Egyptian Theater.
