Mexican producer Mateo González, best known as Theus Mago, delivers his debut mix for the EG Podcast series, now available on SoundCloud and Mixcloud. Known for his genre-bending productions and dynamic sets, Mago is also the creative force behind projects like Bufi and Sonido Fantasma, and co-runs the Duro imprint.

For this session, Theus Mago curates a collection of recent Bandcamp finds. “Some of these I’ve been struggling to fit into my live mixes, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to try them out. Expect some speedy dark disco, deep tribal, and minimal ghetto trance. Enjoy!” he shared.

The mix showcases Theus Mago’s eclectic and unpredictable style, threading together playful leftfield cuts with a rhythmic sensibility designed for the dancefloor.

Since breaking through in 2015 with ‘Ritmo Extraterrestre’ on Correspondant, Theus Mago has released music via Lumière Noire, Turbo Recordings, Optimo, Ombra Intl, Feines Tier, and Pets Recordings. His sound continues to evolve while staying rooted in club culture.
