HIBELL shares 10 summer dancefloor tracks

UK-born, Aaron Hibell is a DJ/Producer with passions as a sound engineer and audio-visual expression as well. Exhibiting a deep appreciation for progression, emotion, and creating cinematic expression through sound, HIBELL uniquely intertwines Trance, Techno, Ambient, and Progressive House whilst borrowing elements from Rrap, modern R&B, and euphoric breakbeat. Finding inspiration from varying scenes and genres that he has studied extensively, Hibell is drawn to multiple films and soundtrack composers including Hans Zimmer and Dan Heath which is evident in the cinematic and storytelling nature of his productions; also nodding to influences from artists including The Weekend, Eric Prydz and Frank Dukes.

Now, to celebrate the drop of his new single ‘euphoria’, HIBELL selects 10 summer dance floor tracks:

1. Hans Zimmer – Time

‘This song for me formed my childhood watching ‘Inception’ growing up. The song as a whole is such a journey building so much from start to finish and has hugely influenced the way I structure songs I love to take people on journeys with my tracks.’

2. CamelPhat, Yannis – Hypercolour (ARTBAT Remix)

‘You perhaps can hear the influence from the huge trancey synths in the breakdown of this song in the drop of ‘euphoria’. ARTBAT are among the best to do it and a huge influence to me.’

3. Bicep – Glue

‘I’ve always been such a fan of breakbeat tracks and you can hear my influence from this in the section towards the end of ‘euphoria’.’

4. Love Regenerator, Calvin Harris – Hypnagogic (I Can’t Wait)

‘Another classic acid rave breakbeat track I’m hugely inspired by. I love that Calvin made this so authentically to the era it was inspired from.’

5. Alesso vs OneRepublic – If I Lose Myself (Alesso Remix)

‘For me, the energy and progressive build of this track are unmatched, literally pure euphoria when the drop hits and you get that payoff you were waiting for for so long.’

6. RÜFÜS DU SOL – Underwater (Yotto’s Dawn Remix)

‘I love how progressive this track is, Yotto sets such a vibe with the grooves in this one.’

7. The Weeknd – Heartless

‘This track has such a great atmosphere, I’m actually really inspired by a lot of The Weeknd’s production. Its dark atmospheric nature you can really hear translating through many of my tracks.’

8. KAS:ST – Hold Me To The Light

‘Just a pure vibe this one. KAS:ST are a criminally underrated duo from France and this is one of many of their incredible tracks.’

9. Lana del Rey – Cinnamon Girl

‘I’m a huge fan of Lana del Rey and, once again, the atmosphere she evokes in her tracks. I have an unreleased track called ‘Violet’ which is hugely inspired by the tone of this track.’

10. HIBELL – euphoria

‘euphoria’ really showcases the DNA of what makes up my sound. I think it gives the listener the full scope of the type of emotion and journey I want my tracks to take them on. My future releases could be a darker techno record, a full-blown orchestral track, or something more vocal-oriented. Interwoven throughout each will likely always be the sounds that I feel really embody what I love most. ‘
