Pirate Copy shares 10 tracks from artists that are playing at The BPM Portugal’s Kaluki showcase

Manchester’s Pirate Copy aka Lee Spence has whole-heartedly adopted the DIY approach. Yet even with a more modest perspective, Pirate Copy has earned himself a string of releases on the likes of Relief, Moon Harbour, Kaluki Musik, Materialism and Elrow as well as residencies at clubbing hot spots across Europe showing the rest of the dance music landscape how a strong friendship united by a genuine passion for music can be the winning ticket for success.

Today Kaluki member Pirate Copy shares 10 tracks from artists that will be playing at the Kaluki showcase during The BPM Festival Portugal 2019.  Grab your tickets here.

1. Danny Tenaglia – Dibiza (Joseph Capriati Remix)

“Still my favourite Joseph Capriati remix, I’ve played it so many times. Stripped-back, tribal with an epic, super-long breakdown. The perfect DJ tool to open a set and maybe add some sample effects over the break! I recently opened up my set at Parklife festival with this”.

2. Ben Sterling – Members Only (Original Mix)

“Something I got way ahead of release and was really into. I played it every set all over my US tour and was getting lots of messages about it from fans”. DOPE!

3. Eats everything – Entrance Song

“This was a masterpiece for me, the track that really put Eats on the map in a big way. Super smooth deep house with huge bass, still love it today!”

4. Waff – Shabby

“Burning Man vibes all day long! The B-side on the Fat Gash EP… This one still really works for me now, four years after it was released”.

5. Archie Hamilton – Driven to Distraction

“Amazing rolling grooves from Archie here with a hint of aciiiied – super cool beats and perfect for any dance floor”.

6. SNAP! Rhythm is a Dancer (Mike Morrisey Driving Edit)

“Fair play to Mike for having the balls to tackle this re-edit… It shouldn’t work, but it really, really does. It reminds me of last year’s Ushuaia closing with Richy Ahmed dropping it right at the end!”

7. Andre Oliva – Right Now

“Andrea made his debut on Kaluki with this EP. It was huge with full support from the A list, a real typical Andre Oliva big stage bomb!”

8. The Martinez brothers – H2 Da Izzo (Guti & Enzo Siragusa Remix

“Love this remix from Enzo and Guti on Cutting Headz. The pick of the bunch for me, and that says a lot because the whole package was super strong!”

9. Pirate Copy – Penina

“This is still the track I get asked for the most when I am playing gigs; it was inspired my Latin America tours – a really sexy summer vibe”.

10. Pete Zorba & Nick Hussey – Faker

“Pete came up with this Alexander O’Neil-sampling groover that’s dripping with funk. We had a residency at the Blue Marlin that summer and this was one of the tunes of the summer for sure, and as a result it will forever remind me Mr Zorba!”
