Uner – Immortality – Solar Distance

There are many artists in the world of electronic music who by this point need little in the way of introduction within the fan base of a specific genre or sub-genre, and in the world of melodic house and techno it’s fair to say UNER is one of those artists.

UNER’s latest release follows tracks and remixes for Sabo’s label Sol Selectas, which alongside Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream is at the forefront of what some might refer to as spiritual house. Fans of this sub-genre might have their own name for it, but linked to events like Burning Man people who are fond of this style will know what’s being referred to.

Out on his own Solar Distance label, UNER’s new release certainly tips its hat to the spiritual style on the aforementioned labels and event, and with its vocal sampled from ceremonial chants, certainly add a spiritual influence to the sound of its lead track ‘Infinite Pledge’.

‘Infinite Pledge’ on a whole though is very much a familiar sounding UNER track with epic pads and a melody rich sound layer over club friendly percussion, but the second track titled ‘The Chant Of The Pheasant’ is perhaps something that’s a bit more of a curve ball.

‘The Chant Of The Pheasant’ is focused on a delicate piano surrounded by prominent percussion and ethereal pads, and overall is something much deeper and more intimate than UNER’s usual output. With a delicate sound that might surprise some, it’s definitely an incredible track that expresses emotion sourced from beyond the dancefloor.

UNER’s ‘Immortality’ is already available. Grab your copy here.
