WaterBear College of Music to give away scholarship to study electronic music with Carl Cox

Applications will be open until August 20th.

Training as an electronic music producer for free with Carl Cox will be made possible by a scholarship that includes studies at the WaterBear College of Music in Brighton and £15,000 in stereo equipment to help with the winners’ studies.

Some of the resources that will be provided to students will be in form of short classes, personalized tutorials, and work experience. The scholarship includes a new undergraduate course being conducted at the university, BA (Hons) in Electronic Music and Business, which will be held during the month of September for the first time. The objective of the course is to provide strategies to forge your own musical career with production assistance.

‘I am very excited to support WaterBear in delivering this scholarship award and to contribute to someone’s professional journey in music. Hopefully, this will help the creative process and lead to some great new electronic music that we can all enjoy. I am looking forward to hearing new and exciting music from them,’ said Carl Cox of the scholarship.

The degree can be studied from anywhere in the world remotely or in person on the Brighton campus. Other music courses offered by the university are a BA (Hons) Career Musician and MA Music Entrepreneur.
