Aphex Twin to reissue ‘Selected Ambient Works Volume II’ expanded edition

It will be available in various formats, including a limited 4LP vinyl box set, triple-CD edition, and digital.

Aphex Twin, also known as Richard D. James, has plans to reissue his iconic ‘Selected Ambient Works Volume II’, this time with an expanded edition.

On June 17th, Warp Records that the 1994 release will be available in a variety of formats. This includes a 4LP box set, standard 4LP pressing, triple-CD edition, a limited double cassette (with only 250 copies available), and digital.

The release is set for 4th October, 2024, marking the first time all tracks will be available across all formats. It will also feature ‘track #19’, previously only on vinyl, and two additional tracks, ‘th1 [evnslower]’ and ‘Rhubarb Orc. 19.53 Rev’.

The 4xLP vinyl box set, which will be limited in edition, promises to be a collector’s item. It features a fold-out poster, a sticker sheet, and a booklet with sketches from the original artwork’s development. The set will be housed in a hinged oak box with a custom copper-plated, etched Aphex Twin logo on the front.
