Hail to Richie Hawtin’s new ‘Acid King’ EP

A throwback to the style he championed during the 90s.

Richie Hawtin has unveiled a brand new single titled ‘Acid King’. The cut is part of a five-track EP that showcases different versions of the new cut.

The ‘Acid King’ EP features a ‘Full Tilt Mix’, the ‘Stripped Mix’, a ‘Bass Dub’ from his F.U.S.E. alias, the ‘Bonus Beats’ version, and a ‘Vox’ mix, and follows up on the release of his first dancefloor-focused EP in 21 years, ‘Time Warps’.

‘What started out as a studio experiment searching for the soft, warm distortions that were inherent in all my early 1990s F.U.S.E. & Circuit Breaker ACID tracks, morphed into something else…’ says Hawtin himself about the new drop.
