British synth innovator James Holden and Polish clarinetist Wacław Zimpel will release their first collaborative album, ‘The Universe Will Take Care Of You’through  Border Community on June 13th, 2025. The first single, ‘You Are Gods’, is now available.

Known for their individual work in electronic experimentation and free jazz respectively, the duo delivers a six-track collection that embraces raw improvisation and hypnotic flow.

Tracks like ‘You Are Gods’ and ‘Incredible Bliss’ showcase their layered sonic explorations, fusing modular synths, clarinet textures, percussion, and unexpected instrumental turns into a richly psychedelic listening experience. The album reflects shared influences ranging from Krautrock and minimalism to Gnawa and Indian classical traditions, channeling a trance-like energy that runs throughout.

“We just clicked immediately, understood each other’s impulses, and made space for each other,” says Holden. The record also marks a shift in instrumentation for both artists, with Zimpel expanding into harmonium and electric piano, while Holden revisits his childhood violin and builds hand percussion setups.
