Nevada-based producer Willy Electronarcosis is a skilled and flexible musical chameleon well-versed in deep, tribal, and psychedelic sounds. Many people say that Willy is the music, and his wild dancing energy is completely infectious. He is known not only for his dance moves behind the decks but his ability to play in harmony with the vibe. It is most importantly about the love of the experience for him, and this latest release titled ‘Living in Love’ is reflective of his exactly this energy.
Title track ‘Living in Love’ quickly introduces a melodic psychedelic groove at tech house tempo and rhythm that creates a creative and captivating dichotomy of sounds. The track continues to evolve throughout in an almost hypnotic manner, with plenty of psy ear candy, progressive melodic leads weaving through one another effortlessly, and rhythm switches that go from psytrance to house to progressive techno to trance to breaks all within one track. One can only describe the resultant journey as epic and transformative, spirit-lifting, and almost throwback/retro in many musical moments.
Each remix on this release provides treats for the ears and mind and heart, one after another. Willy’s Electronarcosis remix dials up the progressive Psy-Trance to a higher level, with decidedly more energy — peppered with a bevy of playful groove switch-ups. Fellow Moontriber and avid producer and performer, Bartek are probably best known for his intrinsic and dance floor moving breaks. True to form, his remix of ‘Living in Love’ is breaking at its best, with pounding bass and rhythms and a musical sass not to be trifled with — all whilst preserving the beautiful lead stem melodies created by the original title track’s composer. To round things out, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and electronic music artist, Ātrisco, presents a contrasting minimal progressive melodic house remix that is deeper, delicate, and emotionally moving. With softly driving rhythms, Ātrisco keeps the energy while expertly maintaining the minimal sound design and teasing listeners with Willy’s psychedelic fx and leads. His remix is a welcome palette cleanser.
