The inspiration that brought to life Eleven Of July’s ‘Us’ EP came from a variety inspirational ingredients. For the first record on the EP, Eleven of July discussed how the homonymous film by Jordan Peele, inspired the dark melancholy atmosphere of this record. For the second record on the EP, ‘Urano’, Eleven Of July explains how his main focus was to bring the record to a high level of abstraction, produced with his Mk3 and ‘light’ artillery. The title ‘Urano’ is named after the primal Greek God, personifying the sky, in which Urano’s deep synthesis and ambient melodies properly illustrate.
