Australian Grammy Award nominated artist Maxwell Byrne, also known as 1tbsp, just presented his new studio album entitled ‘Mosquito Love’ via Sumoclic, offering eight original tracks.
The project is described as “indie-dance/house which has a sound that can be likened to a mix between Daphni (aka Caribou), Four Tet and DJ Koze.”
Prior to the album release, 1tbsp dropped some of his singles including ‘Sleeves Touch My Elbows’, ‘Circuit Current’, and ‘Best of Me’, now included as part of the LP.
“I made Mosquito Love over the last 6 months and it’s my first album as 1tbsp. Two things really inspired the direction of the album: over the last year I really got into reggaeton & Latin music, and I finally made the leap and bought some modular synths. I wanted to try and combine the two on this album,” he commented.
1tbsp also announced a series of North American tour dates in October and November including stops in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Montreal, and more. Click here for more info.
