Australian producer 44 Ardent has released his new six-track EP ‘Me, Again’, out now via Mammal Sounds Records.
The full release arrives after a run of singles including ‘Curtain Call’, ‘Wake Up’, ‘Hold On (Forever)’, and ‘Who Do You Think That You Are?’, now joined by two new additions: ‘Chemicals’ and the title track.
Blending emotive dance textures with house and electronic influences, ‘Me, Again’ channels the DNA of artists like Caribou, Bonobo, Tourist, and Odesza. The EP also marks a creative reconnection for the artist, who describes the project as a return to his electronic roots.
“‘Me, Again’ is a reference to 44 Ardent being my second musical project,” he shared. “I’ve always loved making music as cln and plan to keep creating in that world, but 44 Ardent has given me a different kind of freedom that I am really enjoying. I am trying to think less about social media and more about music… This EP is about reconnection with my electronic musical roots — the sort of music that made me fall in love with production in the first place.”
The EP artwork, also created by 44 Ardent, is based on a personal photograph taken from a cave near his home, adding another layer of introspective meaning to the release.
