12+1 London celebrates 8 years

With a series of special events.

Celebrating its 8th year, 12+1 London has recently released a special album entitled ‘Bonus Point (7+1)’ produced by the label head-honcho, u z z v. 7+1 stands for the ‘7’ remixes involved, and ‘+1’ being the original single. The new versions are made by the output’s staple family members including Alex Arnout, Nicola Brusegan, Juliche Hernandez, and Ray Okpara along with new artists onboard such as Jamahr from Italy, Mexican rising star Jizz, and Argentinian queen Lolu Menayed. The cuts vary from minimal – deep tech to Jizz and Juliche’s house-y vibes through Lolu’s deep rework is available now exclusively on Beatport, and from December 2nd on Spotify, Traxsource, and other musical platforms.

Rewinding back to November 14th of 2014, Thames river, boat… it was 12+1 London launch party. Eight years later, it is time to celebrate that their dream is still alive. Fabric London and E1 are the chosen venues for two special showcases. The first one happened on last Sunday, November 13th at the label’s headquarters and iconic club, fabric. On this occasion, u z z v and label artist Andrew Kay joined forces with WYS! crew. The WetYorSelf! boys Jacob Husley and Peter Pixzel did a perfect warm-up, doors were opened at 11pm and the room was starting to fill up in just 30 minutes. Andrew played after them,  bringing an energetic set with deep-tech and tech-house beats with some UK garage as well. The crowd felt the vibes, then the label chief u z z v was ready for an epic closing where he played upcoming tracks such as his remix for Alex Arnout’s ‘Higher Orbit’, coming up in early 2023 (only on vinyl), and his last single ‘Bonus Point’.

For the second part the imprint debuts at E1 London on Saturday, November 26th, to celebrate the label’s 8th Anniversary, but also u z z v’s birthday bash. Alongside him, will be the PLGRN label head Phill Prince, and a new family member straight from Romania, Sunwaves festival resident DJ, Brad Brunner. Local heroes Elodie and Andrea Rossi will be joining the event to warm up this very special night. Grab your tickets here.
