After months of work, Teho’s second album ‘Infinity’ saw the light this year via his own Labo T. imprint. Through this new project, Teho explored dimensions and space through the concept of ‘Infinity’. Across 11 tracks, the new album was intended to be an unlimited exploration into different and eclectic musical universes.
Melancholic, dreamy, and imaginative, ‘Infinity’ also crossed the artist’s sensitivity and delicacy with the energy and power of his catchy beats and his powerful synths.
Now, Teho finally unveils ‘Infinity (Deluxe Edition)’, an extended view into the creative universe of Teho, including remixes, four new cuts, and a very unique live take.
EG caught up with Teho to learn more about the drop of ‘Infinity (Deluxe Edition)’, his Labo T. imprint, views on art, and more.
EG: Hi Teho! Welcome to EG. It’s a pleasure to have you again here with us. Where are you based right now?
Teho: Thanks for having me over for this interview! I’m living in the south of France, next to Montpellier, in a small town.
EG: So, what was your summer like? Any particular highlights?
Teho: I’ve been touring a lot this summer, there were a lot of good gigs, but if I had to mention one, it’s the Palma Rosa Festival in Montpellier. The crowd was on fire, the venue was so cool, and I had many friends who were there, so it was a lot of fun!
EG: By the way, congratulations on the forthcoming release of the deluxe version of your ‘Infinity’ LP! What has the initial reception been like?
Teho: Thanks! We had many good responses from the people and also good feedback from the DJs. For me, this deluxe edition marks the end of a chapter, it’s now time to prepare something new.
EG: What can your fans expect to find in this deluxe version of ‘Infinity’?
Teho: In this deluxe edition, they will find all the tracks of ‘Infinity’, all the B-sides, the remixes, and also four new unreleased tracks called ‘Find You Again’, ‘Dilemma’, ‘Amber’, and ‘Quasars’. In addition, we also added the live version of ‘Fury’ with Joris Delacroix, which was only available on YouTube up until now.
“I worked such a long time on this LP, so in the end, I was a bit tired from listening to it. Now, I can certainly appreciate it better”
EG: Now that ‘Infinity’ has been out in the wild for a while now…How do you feel about the record? Has your perception about any of the tracks changed or been resignified?
Teho: I’m still very proud of this album, and actually I like better now. I worked such a long time on this LP, so in the end, I was a bit tired from listening to it. Now, I can certainly appreciate it better.
EG: And, of course, this is out via your own Labo T. imprint. How is the label doing? Is there anything you can anticipate on that front for next year?
Teho: Oh yes! I have a very special project which’s coming out in early 2023. For almost two years, with Gregory Terlikowski, we have been working on an original soundtrack for a video game called ‘Backfirewall’. Gregory made all of the ambiances and atmospheres of the game, and I did the music. There are some tracks that are very similar to what I’m doing usually, but there are also some unexpected tracks from me. You will see soon!
In 2023, we will also have a lot of releases from other artists, including Ceas and Minorah, for example, but some new artists will appear on the label as well.
EG: How do you keep entertained when not in the studio? Are there any good books, series or music you’d recommend?
Teho: I’m listening to a lot of hip hop music, artists like Joyner Lucas, and Kendrick Lamar, but also French rappers like Lomepal or SCH. I really like neo-classical music as well, Hania Rani or Ramin Djawadi, for example.
Otherwise, I watch a lot of documentaries, mainly about the music industry or musicians. I also recently watched the series ‘Mare of Eastown’. Just wow, the suspense was breathless!
EG: What is art and why do we need it?
Teho: This is a pretty hard question! I think art is a way to let people express themselves, to share a message, a story, or an idea. Sometimes it’s futile. In this case, it’s often only entertainment, but sometimes the message is more than this. For example, Bansky is an artist with a strong and powerful message.

EG: What’s next for Teho? What particular milestones are you looking forwards to now? Where can your fans catch you next?
Teho: As I mentioned, the OST will be released soon, and I’m really looking forward to this one. But you will also probably see me on other labels than Labo T. very soon.
EG: Thank you so much for your time, Teho! We wish you all the best for the future.
Teho: Thanks a lot for your continuing support. All the best to you as well!
