Loz Goddard has released a new EP titled ‘Are We Ever Leaving Here?’ under the Oath label. The Manchester-based producer is known for his skillful use of melody, which is evident in his previous releases. The package includes three original tracks and two remixes from Casa Voyager head OCB and Bristol-based producer Boulderhead.
The EP opens with the title track, which starts with a deep, resonating chord that builds up to an explosion of breaks and euphoria. ‘Parallaxing’ offers a firm 90s techno sound with a hard rhythm section, acid lines, and synth interplays. ‘Space Nugz’ takes things down a notch with a cavernous beat and a spacey, melodic top layer that drifts between the ethereal and the real.
OCB’s remix of the title track increases the BPM, creating a heads-down, floor-smashing proggy roller. On the other hand, Boulderhead’s remix of ‘Space Nugz’ brings dreamy techno to the mix, filling up the spaces beautifully with its melodies.
