Music is passion, not fashion!

On November 24th, Spanish DJ Paco Osuna demonstrated why for him music is not a fashion, but a passion. That night we were part of the Partaï experience with Manda Moor, Miguelle & TONS, Tony Guerra, Gustavo Dominguez, and more.
The Poliedro de Caracas was the venue chosen for the date, an emblematic space for concerts and massive events. The dome received us early and Marco Gonzalez began with an appropriate musical selection; Wach_o made his debut at the festival and continued the beats while people continued to arrive. Vanee and the Zamoras duo continued the celebration representing the best of the local circuit. Around 9 PM it was the turn of Tony Guerra and Gustavo Domínguez in back-to-back format, two DJs who have musical careers on the rise and who developed a sound well received by the public, with vocals and tribal cuts.
During the night we did some reconnaissance laps and we were able to see the effort that Partaï makes to improve each of its events, different areas including drink and food options, equalized sounds, as well as a shower of lights and lasers that covered the place, pavilions sides for your guests, and have some allies like Furia or Dsplace. Finally, the renowned main stage, where many come together to dance and live the experience of an electronic music party up close.
Manda Moor, a Danish/Filipino producer who is part of brands such as Hot Creations or elrow, was the next to play. With quite marked and unconventional tech house rhythms, she quickly managed to convince the more than 5,000 people who filled the dance floor. Some of her songs that were played were ‘Picante’, released on Jamie Jones’ label, and ‘El Peligro’ on her own, Mood Child, which she runs with Sirus Hood. Her session ended and the audience said goodbye to her with euphoria, being mentioned by some as “the best thing of the night.” Then came the expected Venezuelan duo Miguelle & TONS, who made their first official presentation in Venezuela, and who quickly demonstrated why they are residents of Club Space in Miami, or part of Michael Bibi’s Solid Grooves, in addition to managing Two and a Half Cats, their own imprint. For almost 3 hours, “the cats” delighted us with their groove, vocals in English and Spanish, house classics, and their own original cuts like ‘La Milu’, ‘Un Poquito’, and ‘Te Quiere’. An epic moment was the participation of the singer Jambene in the song ‘Desierto’, who hopped on stage to perform it live.
The energy at El Poliedro was already high and it was the turn of Paco Osuna, Spanish DJ and producer with more than 25 years of experience and who has shared the booth with all the techno heavyweights including names such as Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Carl Craig, or Marco Carola. The beginning of his career dates back to Ibiza in the late 90’s where he was a resident of Amnesia and part of Sven Vath’s Cocoon collective for many years, in addition to stamping in emblematic printing presses such as Minus or Plus8.
In 2006 he founded Mindshake Records, a platform that has become a reference in the genre, hosting productions by artists such as Cuartero, Rafa Barrios, Blackchild, and Melanie Ribbe, among others. His most recent project, NOW HERE, is his own residency, every Tuesday at Hï Ibiza, where he explores the philosophy of living music and the moment to the fullest, and which has also begun to appear in other cities such as Miami, Mexico City, or Medellin. Paco’s career is very extensive and he demonstrated it that night with powerful cuts like his remix of ‘Brasilera’ with Fer BR, ‘The Key’, or his remix of Basement Jaxx’s original ‘Fly Life’; As Paco himself would say, “A tope!”
Already after 6 AM, the event was coming to an end to give way to the famous “after”… the next appointment will be on January 5th, 6th, and 7th, 2024 in the city of Cartagena, Colombia, where Partaï will join the Buena Vida Beach festival, in a collaboration that has already confirmed artists such as ANOTR, Seth Troxler, Carlita, and more. Finally, we thank the Partaï and B4B Bookings teams for the invitation. Until next time!
