A new comic book series entitled ‘We Love Ibiza’ will immerse its readers in the history of Ibiza. The upcoming three-part series will provide a visual journey through the evolution of the White Isle over the past seven decades.

The inaugural installment, ‘The Golden Older Years,’ will encapsulate the era leading up to 1986 and is set to hit the stands this October. The series will not only incorporate a host of Ibiza stalwarts like Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Terry Farley, DJ Pippi, Gee Moore, and Jamie Jones but will also spotlight some of the island’s iconic clubs, including Space and Amnesia.

More than just a DJ and nightlife chronicle, ‘We Love Ibiza’ promises to shed light on “the soul seekers and experimentalists who followed a dream and made Ibiza their home,” highlighting the multifaceted charm of the island beyond the music and clubs.

The subsequent parts of this comic book trilogy will delve deeper into Ibiza’s history, with the second part exploring the years between 1987 and 2004, and the third part spanning from 2005 to the present day. Each part of the trilogy will comprise approximately 150 pages, providing an in-depth exploration of its rich history.

Produced by the UK-based company Make Me A Comic, the team of expert comic artists and writers, led by founder Laura Gold, has devoted the past 18 months to the creation of ‘We Love Ibiza.’ The project, once complete, will have interviewed over 400 people, conducted thousands of hours of online research, and read nearly 50 books.
